Book Event
Vision: A Memoir of Blindness and Justice by David S. Tatel
Via Zoom only

This is another co-sponsored event with the Lewes Public Library and
Browseabout Books, but it is Zoom only.  Judge Joan Churchill will interview Judge
David Tatel about his book Vision: A Memoir of Blindness and Justice.

In his memoir, Judge Tatel tells about his career in law and serving as a Federal Circuit Court judge at the second most important appellate court in America (DC Circuit Court of Appeals). Judge Tatel also has an equally important story to relate about his blindness which came from an incurable eye illness and his decision to try to hide it from his colleagues and how he eventually acknowledged it publicly, benefited from the use of computer and cell technology, and became the owner of a guide dog.  If you are a dog lover, you have to read this book just to meet Vixen!

Judge Tatel has appeared at Politics and Prose in DC, various legal conferences, the
American Philosophical Society, and in the Washington Post as well as many other
newspapers. Judege Joan Churchill helped us in landing this special speaker and will conduct the interview. Thank you, Joan!
