Giving through your RMD
Giving Through Your RMD - Take Advantage of a Great Tax Break
If you are required to take an Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your tax deferred savings account, you can potentially reduce your taxable income and help Seaside continue to provide its full schedule of educational programs, social action, and services to the community. Ask your accountant, financial advisor, or brokerage company whether you can direct all or part of your RMD to be sent directly to Seaside. When done properly, your gift can be excluded from your taxable income, yet fulfill your RMD requirement.
Your account manager will need the following information:
- Seaside Jewish Community is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
- Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law
- The tax ID number is 52-2060467
- Checks should be made payable to Seaside Jewish Community and mailed to PO Box 1472, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971
- If your account manager is planning a wire transfer, please contact Seaside Treasurer Howie Hochman for the account number and routing information.
