Special Shavuot Program

Part of Rabbi Julie Installation Weekend June 3−5 

In a fun Saturday evening to include a wonderful spiritual experience, Rabbi Julie and two guest speakers will lead a program of interactive learning in honor of Shavuot. Reb Simcha Raphael, a rabbinic pastor, therapist, and author, will teach and lead a discussion about the biblical book of Ruth as a mythic tale of resilience and courage in response to grief and loss. 

We will then welcome the holiday with blessings and refreshments sponsored by the Installation Committee. Those who want to enter the mystical spirit of Shavuot, will have the option to stay for the second part of the program, when Rabbi Rayzel Raphael will lead an interactive experience with her “Shechinah Oracle Cards.”
