Join us for a Shabbat and Selichot experience at Seaside on Sep 9 from 5:30 - 8 p.m.

5:30 p.m. – A short Shabbat afternoon service 
6 p.m. – Light supper and a discussion of forgiveness and its limits, based on the book, The Sunflower, by Simon Wiesenthal. You do NOT need to have read the book ahead of time, as excerpts will be provided. Wiesenthal, a Holocaust survivor, faced the extreme limits of forgiveness. He later asked world leaders what they would have done in his place. Join us for an in-depth discussion on what it means to make amends in a world facing up to historic injustices. 7:30 p.m. – Havdalah, plus a brief and moving Selichot Service.
