DRAWN TESTIMONY: My Four Decades as a Courtroom Sketch Artist

Susan Aaronson will interview author, Jane Rosenberg, about her unique career as a courtroom sketch artist which is the subject of Jane's 2024 book, Drawn Testimony: My Four Decades as a Courtroom Sketch Artist.  Jane has been at numerous high-profile perp walks, trials, sentencings (including Trump), and at them all, she is drawing in pastels.  These are proceedings where no cameras are allowed inside so for online and tv news as well as newspapers and magazines, the way to see the parties involved is to have an artist there to capture the moment.  That is what Jane has done, and we will hear her describe her process as well as show us a selection of her work.  Her book received starred reviews from the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, Booklist, and Bookpage. Her work has also been on the cover of The New Yorker magazine, a distinct honor for any artist.
