Location and Everyone Welcome
The majority of Seaside Jewish Community’s (SJC) High Holy Day services are held in-person and are live-streamed from Epworth United Methodist Church (EUMC), 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Services are open to all who want to participate with the SJC community. Advance reservations for services will be required although no cost is involved. The link to make reservations is available online at seasidejewishcommunity.com/hhd-registration
Prayer Book (Machzor)
SJC is an independent, unaffiliated community of approximately 400 families, encompassing about 600 adults and children. Services are egalitarian. We use and provide the Hillel Machzor, On Wings of Awe, which has gender neutral language for God and transliteration of Hebrew
Tashlich
Following SJC tradition, Tashlich will be observed in the afternoon on the first day of Rosh Hashanah: Monday, September 26 at 5 pm (weather permitting). To accommodate all who wish to participate, there will be several locations for the services throughout Sussex County. For those with younger children, a Family Tashlich service will be held at one location. To reserve your space go to seasidejewishcommunity.com/hhd-registration by September 19.
