7:00 PM - 8:30 PMvia Zoom

Tu Bishvat Seder (via Zoom)
Led by Rabbi Julie Danan

The Tu Bishvat "Seder" is a renewed mystical custom to celebrate the New Year of Trees while eating fruits and nuts and sipping red and white wine (or juice).  The Seder will include  learning, sharing, singing, nature photos, and media.

What to bring (optional):
Come as you are! You don't have to bring anything to the Zoom Tu Bishvat Seder. But it will be most enjoyable if you can gather the following fruits on a plate, to bless and taste. You can probably find these in your kitchen right now:

  • Fruits/Nuts (fresh, dried, frozen or canned) in 3 varieties:
    • One or more fruits or nuts with an inedible peel
      • Examples: any citrus fruit, banana, pistachios, walnut or pecans
      • One or more fruits with an inedible pit
        • Examples: olives. dates, prunes, dried apricots, or a peach
        • One or more fruits that are completely edible (tiny seeds or cores OK)
          • Examples: Grapes, raisins, apples, pear, or berries
          • Some kind of a natural scent:
            • Examples: fragrant fruit, essential oil, herbs or spice
            • Wine or Juice:
              • Red wine and white wine and a wine glass (or the equivalent in juice)
