Enid Zafran will tell the life of Estee Lauder, a Jewish woman who started a cosmetics business from a beauty cream developed by her uncle.  In 1998, she was the sole woman on Time magazine’s list of the 20 most influential business geniuses of the 20th century.  When she died in 2004, her family business was valued at $5.1 billion.  Today the family is also associated with its art museum philanthropy and even more notably for the Pink Ribbon Campaign they launched to end breast cancer.
