4:00 PM - 5:00 PMVia ZoomNotable Jewish Lives – Isaac Asimov
Robert Weintraub will tell us the life of Isaac Asimov, based on the autobiography
I. Asimov.
Asimov is one of the greatest science fiction writers of all time with more than 400 titles to his credit. His family immigrated to the U.S. from Russia in 1923 when Asimov was three. He won many awards in his career and is the 24th most-translated author in world literature, according to UNESCO. The movies I, Robot and Bicentennial Man are both based on his works, and we get the word “robotics” from his writing. In this telling of his life, we will learn of his foibles, successes, marriages, and colorful life. He is a true American Jewish genius.
