Adult Education:

The Adult Education division of SJC offers an ongoing series of audio-visual and live presentations each Thursday, each covering a unique theme but all related to Jewish culture and identity in some way.  Subjects as varied as examining the trading routes of Abraham, our first great mercantilist, to understanding the political philosophy of "JStreet", the liberal Washington think-tank, have been presented.  Once yearly we present a special weekend of learning and social interaction: the Alfred Gross memorial lecture, in which a catered lunch and extended lecture by an authority especially well-versed in some field of Jewish lore is featured; topics have ranged from Jewish mysticism in the Old World to Yiddish songs of the American labor movement. All Adult Ed events are free and open to the public - check the SJC Newsletter for details and come join us!

Youth Education & Religious School:            (Youth Education Page)

Youth Activities:   SJC is committed to raising Jewish awareness and customs in our children. We opened our very own Religious School in the fall of 2004. Many of our activities revolve around families and children. We put on multiple children's events throughout the year celebrating Jewish holidays. During High Holidays we hold youth services and children's activities. Many festivals like Tu B'Shevat are run for children and the young at heart.

Religious School:  Seaside Jewish Community Religious School is dedicated to providing its students with a warm and creative environment and a strong educational foundation. In so doing, we strive to create in our children a positive Jewish identity with the skills and ethics necessary to become responsible, knowledgeable and motivated members of the Jewish community.  Do you have an interest in our religious school?  Click here to go to our Youth Education page and learn more about us or check out our Brochure.  Contact our Youth education chairperson or the Religious school director on our Contact Us page.
